  4. Why Am I Here? • Highway, road, and street maintenance is very important • Through highway maintenance the agency shows the public its commitment • Both your job and your contribution to the agency are important • A more productive work force begins with the first-line supervisor

  5. What is Expected of Me? • Keep doing a good job • Participate fully in this training course and in other efforts to help me improve as a supervisor • Make determined efforts to motivate my workers to achieve their peak performance
