Integrate back-office procedures • (data, components, services) • Integrate front-office procedures • (data, components, services) • only skilled and trained Poupatempo assistants can use IC technology • user-friendly access to e-Government services is essential Preconditions: São Paulo StateIn Poupatempos about 640 services are available, but • expansion of Poupatempos is very expensive, due to extensive infrastructure requirements • citizens have to queue up in separate lines for each service • same information (such as name, address, etc) and the same citizen documents has to be checked repeatedly (authentication) • workflow procedures difficult due to differing data structures • overhead of work on the employees
