Building Evacuation (Continued) • Building Occupants • Take Valuables with You (Purse, Keys, Brief Case, etc.) • May Not Re-Enter Building the Rest of the Day • Only Items You Can Easily Carry Down the Stairs • Participation of All Occupants is Important • Meeting Hosts – Have Visitors Participate • Stay to the Left Going Down Stairs • Prevent Persons From Getting Hit By the Doors • Minimize Conversations to Allow Floor Wardens to Direct Occupants

Area of Refuge or “Safe Zone” • For Mobility Impaired Persons • Need Assistance in Evacuating • Dedicated “Safe Zone” • South Stairwell (Closest to the OSF Parking Lot) • Small Area Past Stairwell Door, Before Set of Stairs • Floor Wardens Will Notify OSF Building Manager of Persons in Safe Zone in Need of Assistance
Building Relocation Site • Gather in OSF Parking Lot • Grouped By Floor • Floor Warden • Verify All Persons on Their Floor Have Evacuated or Are in the Safe Zone • Report to OSF Building Manager • Trouble Situation on Their Floor; or • “All Clear” Signal
Building Relocation Site(Continued) • In Event of a Power Failure • Will Manually Open Electric Parking Lot Gate • If Gate Damage – Guard Will Open Side Entry Gate
Building Re-Entry • Only Authorized Personnel Will Approve Re-Entry into the OSF Building • If Re-Entry is Denied to OSF: • Staff Will Be Required to Stay in OSF Parking Lot • Must Remain Until Oakland Emergency Services (Police or Fire) Give Approval to Exit the Grounds
