MTM –Education Fund (EF)Objectives & strategy • To collect and build –Rs 50 Lacs Corpus Fund (on First Crunch) • To Enroll1000 DONOR Members with each contributing Rs 5000. • Rs 50 Lacs corpus Fund – will be invested in Bank FD with LONG term tenure • Only annual interest will be used for needy – students .

Why education fund required • 70-80% of telugu people are below middle class (Mumbai & Bhiwandi) • Education cost is growing annually @ 20% • Girls are not encouraged for education after graduation • Education loans interest are high and requires mortgages • Scholarship from telugu NGO are not made available

  10. Why education fund required • There is not earmarked funds from our Telugu NGOs/sanghams • Low awareness programme on various – Govt -schemes. • Education help has low priority in our Telugu community • More than 10,000 students annually requires financial help

  11. How Funds will be used • Only annual interest earned will be distributed to needy and POOR STUDENTS • EF will prefer to donate mostly to GIRLS students • Payments will direct made to school and colleges

Who will decide on Education fund • MTM-EF has a separate Governing council Body • Principal, senior professor, wellknown social worker and talent personalities are the members of this body. • Some are non Telugu experts • This body will verify all required documents, may interview needy students and will decide jointly

  15. How many students got the benefits • Since last two years • Three Girls are the recipients from EF, all are economically backward and talent students • EF donated Rs 10,000/- to mentally and physically challenged students – MBA Foundation- Near Thane – Airoli

  16. EF- Donor membership Rights • Donor members can recommend student names to governing council • Donor can join governing council • Donor can inspect all books and records • Donor can forward their feedback/suggestions • Donor can nominate their legal heir rights

EF- Mission & vision • EF aims to set up a Virtual school and Job orientation courses (employment purposes) • Plans to join corporate CSR policy and work literacy task • Against First target Corpus of Rs 50 lacs, we will get annual interest Rs 4 lac • Next two years, we will start helping annually 70- 80 school childrens.

  20. Our challenges • We have one croretelugu people in Maharahstra. • We want only 1000 donor membership with only Rs 5,000/- • We want to share this policy with all our telugu groups and expand education assistances under their NGO • More than 10,000 students annually requires financial help
