Major Outcomes Expected….1 • Water & Flood Management Policy & Regulatory Frameworks to Respond to Climate Change Risks • Legislative review (completed) • Institutional Review (to be finalised shortly) • Draft Institutional construct to be presented by June • Consultations to follow • Outline Normative Laws to be prepared • Consultations to follow • Wider Consultations on IWRM Laws and Policy to take place by year end. • Ongoing contributions to LWG on WR Policy

Major Outcomes Expected…1 • Water & Flood Management Policy & Regulatory Frameworks to Respond to Climate Change Risks • Develop Conjunctive Water Management Model • Review of Existing Software Available • Initiate Hydrologic and Hydrogeological Studies • Carry out Well Drilling Programme mid-2014 (Initiate asap) • Build CWM Model late 2014 (after results of well drilling) • Deliver Training in CWM and produce Guidelines

Major Outcomes Expected…2 • Key Institutions Have Capacities, Technical Skills, Tools & Methods to Apply Advanced Climate Risk Management Practices for Water Stress & Mitigation • Training Programme • Institutional Review undertaken • Institutional Capacity Development Plans to be prepared • Prepare and implement training in IWRM Practice • Watershed level resource utilisationmodelling • Flood Risk Mapping • Hydromet Monitoring Strengthened • Community-Based EWS (Dissemination & Response)

Major Outcomes Expected…3 • Community Resilience to Floods & Water Stress Enhanced • WUA Strengthened • Local Multi-Stakeholder Committees Established • Decide on mix of options (Structural & Non-structural) • Evaluate existing structures • Prepare options for consultation • Water resources assessment (surface & groundwater) • Conjunctive Water Management • IWRM Plans for 3 Pilot Basins • Implementation of Plans in 3 Pilot basins………..
