Vice-Chair/Chair-elect • Duties • Appoint Committee Chairs • With Chairs, round out membership of committees • Read bylaws and P & P Manual; some committees have designated and ex-officio members • Read Section in P & P Manual • Vote on items in front of Executive Committee • Reports • Setting Chapter priorities • Submit budget items • As requested by Chair

  10. Immediate Past Chair • Duties • Vote on items in front of Executive Committee • Updates P & P Manual • As Immediate Past Chair, serves on Nominating Committee (3 year commitment) • Read Section in P & P Manual • Reports • As requested by Chair • Submit budget items

Chapter Council Representative/Alternate • Duties • Liaison between Chapter and MLA • Must be a member of MLA • Vote on items in front of Executive Committee • Read Section in P & P Manual • Reports • Formal report of MLA Chapter Council meetings is due at MCMLA Annual Executive Meeting • Submit budget items

Recording Secretary • Duties • Take minutes for the following meetings: • Annual Executive Committee Meeting • Annual Business Meeting • Any Executive Committee Meetings; in person, teleconference • Vote on items in front of Executive Committee • Read Section in P & P Manual • Reports • Minutes • Submit budget items

Committee Chairs: General Duties • Duties • Contact committee members • Create goals for year, based on chapter priorities (http://www.mcmla.org/president) • Develop/submit a budget to the Executive Secretary (by December 5th) * • Review special duties for the committees in P & P Manual (i.e. Membership Committee awards an MCMLA membership at the Annual Meeting) * ES will send out a form to use this week.
