Main points • Previous experience in ICT in Education • Introduction of localized web publishing tool in pilot schools • Finding of proper ways to work with new tool development of criteria for good : • Design • Structure • Language • Content • Finding and development of new tools :(eJournal, Web garden) • Impact on other projects

  3. Lithuanian schools in IPM project • 8 pilot schools • Students from elementary to high school level • New schools joined • More then 150 schools were introduced new tools

  4. CONTENT • Contains good educational resources • Contains informational materials for the students • EncouragesCommunication • Contains interestingly and leisure

Structure • Brief information about magazine in English or parallel articles in English(VDU Kauno Rasos gimnazija). • The content is systemized(Vaikų kurybos šalis). • Content page provide brief information about articles and sections of the magazine (Balt’billonas). • Easy navigation (Balt’billonas). • www.ipc.lt • www.eduproj.ipc.lt

Design • Attractive outlook of the frontpage and articles. • The style is integral and not luscious. • Pastel background colour and texture, colours and content are coherent(Vaivorykstės Gymnasium). • potentials of fonts and colours are used (Iš mažvydiečių gyvenimo). • Good selection and composition of logotype(Pilietiškumo pagrindai). • Tasteful composition of text and pictures(Užpalių mokyklos žurnalas).

  7. Language • Language is rich and attractive • The language application rules are followed. • Articles in foreign language are singled in the content(Užpalių mokyklos žurnalas). • Development of multilingual content (Vilniaus Užupio Gymnasium)also eJournal contents

  8. Impact on other projects • ICT for the social sciences teachers 60 teachers attended a one day course • Civic education and web based tools 40 teachers attended one day course • WWW train pilot project webmagazine as publishing tools for inquiery results • Netd@ys 2003 action 47 eJournals developped.
