Tips- new publications alertand full-text • Use alert or RSS for recent publications on your topic or journal contents • Regularly check preprint archive, journal articles in press or conference papers for newly research activities • Use SFX to find full-text • Use Library Inter-lending Services to help you get documents that the library doesn’t have.

Tips- search skills • Keyword selection: find all synonyms For example: avian influenza or bird flu or avian flu or bird influenza or H5N1 • Phrase: “avian influenza” • Spelling: use ? organi?tion for organization or organisation • Wildcard: use * Australia* for Australia, Australian or Australasian • Use subject heading or refine by subject
