Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Substance Use Program (AIOP): Standing Stronger • Ages 13-17 • 12 week curriculum • 2 group sessions: Tuesday and Wednesday, 5-7:30pm • 1 individual therapy • family therapy • Incorporates Evidence-Based Practices • Living in Balance • ACRA: Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach • The Matrix Model • Red Road to Wellbriety • Talking Circle

TREE (Treatment and Recovery Enhancement and Expansion) program • Ages 15-25 with substance use or co-occurring diagnosis and/or family history • Prepares youth for successful transition to adulthood • Life skills such as budgeting, GED or higher education, healthy living , communication, driver’s permit, volunteer opportunities

Housing and Substance Abuse Treatment Outcomes • Lack of a stable, alcohol and drug free living environment can be a serious obstacle to sustained abstinence. • A variety of studies showed that halfway houses improved treatment outcome. • SAMSHA- Transitional or supportive housing can help stabilize people with mental health issues and substance use disorders who are experiencing homelessness • There is a great need for people to find sober and safe living environments.

Culturally Connected Sober Living Housing Programs • Native American House Managers • Cultural Providers • Weekly house meetings which include peer support topics or traditional healing topics • Clients who are on MAT are accepted • Clinical Team approach- Case Manager, Peer Support, and Clinician • Clinical approach to address relapse

  24. Pathway to Employment ProgramPEP Internship PEP is an opportunity for former NAC clients to become employed through a paid internship. In order to be eligible for the program: • Candidates must be 21 years of age or older • Have a HS Diploma or GED; or be eligible to complete a GED within 6 months • Have completed a program at NAC • Maintained 4 months of sobriety • Have basic computer skills • Be Fingerprint Clearance eligible • Complete the application process

What a PEP Will Learn • Mission, Vision, and Values of NAC • Fingerprint Clearance Card Assistance • Heath Management Systems (HMS) training • Peer Support Certification • Behavioral Health training through Relias • Basic Computer training • Support with stability and sobriety • On the job training such as lobby greeting and job shadowing the recovery coaches/peer supports • Supervision by the Recovery Coach Supervisor

Success Stories • PEP Program Began 4/2016 • 8 PEP’S completed • 6 are employed by NAC • 2 are employed at other agencies • 4 PEP’S currently in the internship program • Provides hope to clients • Interns can use their lived experience to benefit and help others • Provides more opportunities for clients to become employed in a growing field
