  1. write an engaging story where characters will travel back in time or to the future and interact with others to resolve a personal conflict.

  2. Step 1:Select time period. consider the general time period of the story. Will you choose to go back in time? If so, how far back? Or will you set their stories in the future?

  3. Step 2:Identify the conflict. determine a moral dilemma that your character may have to face. Remember: A moral dilemma is a choice that a character has to make where either outcome could be tragic.

  4. Step 3:Determine the end of the story. How will the moral dilemma be resolved? What will happen in the end?

  5. Step 4:Create believable characters. characters that will experience a moral dilemma. Refer to the previously created class list of archetypes and use variations of archetypes as appropriate. ---MUST HAVE at least 2 CHARACTERS and NO MORE THAN 4. --- Must have ONE character that is an easily recognizable archetype

  6. Step 5:Map the story. Why might you plan your ending prior to the rising action, climax, or falling action?
