  2. Graduation Requirements • Familiarize yourself with your student’s Course of Study Graduation Requirements • Additional information is available on page 6 - 9 of the 2012-13 Senior Guide or online @ www.pitt.k12.nc.us

  3. College Planning • Narrow down your College list • Create a master calendar including tests dates, recommendation timeline and college application due dates • Contact College Board to send your test scores directly to your prospective colleges

  4. Testing Information • Check selected admissions criteria to know which tests are required, i.e. SAT, ACT, SAT Subject Tests • Send test scores directly to the college or scholarship committee. SAT scores are no longer on your transcripts! • SAT/ACT fee waivers are available based upon income requirements.

  6. College Planning • Finalize college choices • Know your application deadlines • Ask for recommendations • Prepare essays and have them proof-read • Request high school transcripts

  7. College Planning • Submit applications for early decision, early notification, and rolling admission • Send Transcripts • Keep copies of the applications you send • Wait…. 

  10. RecommendationLetters • Ask for a recommendation at least 2 weeks in advance of the due date • Ask those who know you best to write a recommendation letter for you • Provide the recommending adult with a copy of your resume • Thank you notes to recommenders

  11. Scholarships • Review the Senior Guide • Check the Weekly Scholarship Bulletin either online at J.H. Rose website or outside of Ms. Bradley’s office • Review Scholarship Websites:www.fastweb.com & www.cfnc.org • Check with Prospective Colleges • Complete a FAFSA Form
