  8. Analysis: issues, solutions, benefits, evidenceMeeting your objectives Helping you to increase membership One of ABC’s primary objectives is to reverse the trend in falling membership. We intend to play a full part in increasing the perceived value of ABC among existing members and potential recruits. For example, we will send members email alerts and bulletins on legal developments affecting their businesses, encompassing both industry-specific and general commercial issues. Members will also be invited to attend our monthly programme of seminars, which feature external experts as well as our own specialists. Recent topics have included litigation trends in transport and logistics, how SMEs can ensuretheir IP protection is cost effective and avoiding employee discrimination claims.

  9. Analysis: issues, solutions, benefits, evidenceMeeting your objectives Information shared - instantly We understand that members have had difficulty getting up to date information on cases affecting them. All members and authorised users will have access to all case details in real time, through our extranet. We now provide a bespoke extranet to over dozen membership organisations, in all cases with positive results. “Your Extranet has helped to transform day to day communications for members”. Dave X, general secretary, XYZ.

  10. Analysis: issues, solutions, benefits, evidenceMeeting your objectives Building your in-house legal skills You wish to broaden the skills base of you in-house team. One way we can share our skills is by providing a part-time secondee. We will also invite your staff to spend time at our offices, as part of the learning process. At one of our clients, DEF, our secondment programme is reported to have led to a substantial increase in productivity in the department. our own specialists.

  11. Analysis: issues, solutions, benefits, evidenceMeeting your objectives Making sure we continue to meet your needs In addition to regular meetings with the service team, we would like periodically to carry out an independent review of our relationship with ABC. This would normally take the form of face of face interviews with your key personnel, conducted by a senior member of the firm who is unconnected with service delivery. In our experience the review process is invaluable in identifying issues which do not always emerge in the day to day relationship. It provides an additional opportunity for us to assess how we can improve our performance and anticipate your evolving requirements.
