    21. RMX Integration with OCS/Lync Server Enables OCS/Lync clients to participate in RMX-based conferences Extends Continuous Presence to Communicator Provides interconnectivity between SIP clients and H.323 endpoints

    22. The Polycom RMX 2000/4000 virtual conference rooms displayed in buddy list. A Polycom virtual conference room is a persistent ‘meet me’ conference that is available at all times. Virtual conference rooms allow multiple point-to-point connections with Office Communicator 2007 clients to conference with other Polycom-based endpoints as well as videoconferencing endpoints from other vendors including legacy endpoints such as H.323 and PSTN–based endpoints. Office Communicator connects to RMX via H.263 at CIF resolution (up to 30 frames per second) for video and G.711 for audio. OCS 2007 support requires a specific build of the RMX software 4.1. It is available via the support site on www.polycom.com. The software is available for free for customers with current maintenance contracts in place for the RMX. The RMX brings the following capabilities to the OCS 2007 solution: Continuous presence. Continuous presence allows all the participants in a multiparty conference to be seen at the same time (imaging Hollywood Squares). There are many continuous presence layout options that can be customized to specific conferencing needs. HD Video. HDX participants in a conference with other HDXs and OC users will each send and receive HD video. Video to the OC client will connect to the conference via CIF resolution video. Legacy network support. RMX can bring SIP, H.323, and PSTN participants all into the same call. The Polycom RMX 2000/4000 virtual conference rooms displayed in buddy list. 24. DMA will be able to provide very simple conferencing experience. DMA can manage multiple RMX servers and field call signaling (call requests) real-time, based on the availability of the bridge and policies. As a user, you only need to click on the DMA meeting room URI (e.g., 12345@dma.polyocm.com) and start a voice or video call. As Polycom RMX allows multiple types of network, standards-based H.323 endpoints can join in the same meeting as Communicator clients.
