Food Standards ISO 22000 etc, • 13,881* certificates issued in 127 countries • Under 250 certificates issued in UK • NQA currently has 0 certificates in UK & Eire • NQA have not traditionally targeted this sector. • However, expansion in the food sector will dovetail with the NQA International strategy and trade on expertise and agreements in place within the NQA Global network to provide a platform for expanding clients in this sector. • NQA can also build on its current success with key clients and target their supply chain where possible.

  29. Restructure It was decided that in addition to QMS, NQA would concentrate its resources in the following areas: • Aerospace • Automotive • Environmental • OHSAS • Food

  30. Restructure • It was recognised that NQA did not have sufficient resources /expertise in these areas. • It was therefore decided to restructure the Head Office by recruiting Sector Managers who would be responsible for the Marketing, Selling and Technical requirements for each of the sectors NQA wanted to target for expansion. • They would bring an in-depth knowledge to the product that NQA did not always have in the past.

  31. Restructure 5 New Sector Manager Positions were created: Aerospace - Alun Parsons Automotive - Tara Galloway Environmental - Max Linneman OHSAS - Sonia Fourie Food - Yemi Shodipo

  32. Strategy • The last Sector Manager position was only filled in the summer and this together with the recession has meant that implementation of the plan has been slower than had been predicted last year. • However, NQA is now starting to see the benefits of this strategy, with assessments in ISO 16001 and 22001 being undertaken. • NQA is now also able to undertake assessments in larger organisations that it would not have considered in the past.

  33. Strategy • This does not mean that NQA is withdrawing from any of the schemes it currently operates.

  34. Strategy • As this policy continues, NQA will be looking to consolidate and expand in these areas in 2011. • Any Questions.
