  3. What is the CCRT? • The Cisco Cross Reference Tool (CCRT) is used to map customer part numbers to Cisco part numbers. • It is a front-facing, Web tool connected to our databases. • Customers conduct the Web maintenance and Cisco updates the internal records.

  4. What is the CCRT? • These cross-references are printed on: • Carton label(s) • Packing slip(s) • Remittance invoice(s) • Commercial invoice(s)

  5. What is the CCRT? • Main benefits for the customer: • Automated process • Ease of receiving products • Ease of payment process • Visibility to mapping • Database is updated nightly

  6. Accessing CCRT • Type in the URL http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/front.x/ccrt/landingPage.cgi • You will see the page shown to the right.

  7. Accessing CCRT • Clicking on Launch CCRT will prompt you for your login and password

  8. Accessing CCRT You are now in the Introduction section of the Tool with the following 2 options: • Mapping the customer part numbers • Sending feedback to. Click on manage part Numbers to use the tool!

  11. Searching by Cisco Part Numbers Searches may be conducted by: • Entering the entire part number, or • Using the percentage sign (%) as a wildcard

  12. Searching by Cisco Part Numbers The results are displayed. For each item, choose: • SKU - If you want to add your company’s SKU • TDB - If you are unsure whether you want to add your company’s SKU • NA - If you do not want to add your company’s SKU

  13. Searching by Cisco Part Numbers • Save will transmit the information to the Cisco database • Back will take you to the previous screen • Stop will interrupt a transmission

  14. Searching by Cisco Part Numbers After entering the information and clicking on save, the following screen will appear. Clicking Save will record the changes, while clicking Back will take you to the previous screen.

  15. Searching by Customer’s Part Numbers You may also search by your company’s SKUs. In the screen shown below, select the criteria from the following options: Products for which you have not specified mapping; products for which you have specified mapping; products which you have selected as TBD, or Cisco products introduced within the previous 30, 45, or 60 days. Remember, you may search by entering the entire part number, or a portion of the number and a wildcard (%)

  16. Searching by Customer’s Part Numbers • Select Proceed to start the search, Clear to re-enter the information, or Stop to abort the process. You may also select “Upload File” or “Sample File”--to be explained later. • If you enter information and click on Proceed, you will see the following results screen. • You may then edit the SKU description, change its status, and save the changes. You may also go back or clear the fields.

Searching by Customer’s Part Numbers • If there are not results to match your query, the tool will return the following message: “Message: No Products found for your search.” • If there are too many results to display, the tool will return the following message: “Your search will return too many products, please choose other options or email to ccrt-comments@cisco.com for assistance.”

  18. Searching by Customer’s Part Numbers • If you edit the results and click on Save, you will get the following confirmation screen:

  19. Searching by Customer’s Part Numbers • If you want the tool to record the changes, click on Save. Changes will appear overnight. You will be returned to the screen below. • If you would like to dismiss the changes, click on Back to return to the edit screen.

  20. Batch File Upload Functionality • CCRT also allows users to enter their company’s information through the batch upload functionality. • A CSV (comma-separated value) spreadsheet is used to enter this information.

  21. Batch File Upload Functionality • Clicking on “Sample File” displays the screen below. It contains an example of the necessary spreadsheet format. Your company’s parts go on the left column, and the corresponding Cisco parts go on the right column

  22. Batch File Upload Functionality • You may create the file by clicking the “Download” button from any screen displaying Cisco part numbers. The generated file will contain Cisco part numbers and descriptions. • Once you have the file, cut the Cisco part numbers, and paste them onto a new file. Add your company’s numbers and save as a CSV.

  23. Batch File Upload Functionality • Clicking on the “Upload file” button will produce the following screen. Simply specify the path where the file can be found, and click “Upload file.”

  24. Batch File Upload Functionality • If the upload is successful, the following message will appear. There is an additional step to be followed before the information is stored (see next slide). • Click the back button.

  25. Batch File Upload Functionality • After uploading the file, getting the “success” message, and clicking Back, you should be at the following screen.
