  3. How to cope with StudentWeb • Login option: https://studweb.uit.no/isapi/WebObjects.dll/studentweb?inst=uit

  4. New international students should start withthislogin. Youwillneed a Norwegian ID number and a PIN code to usethislogin. The Norwegian ID number has to be registered in the student database (FS) first.

  5. Choose English as language! Forgot your username and password?

  6. Free-movers must have paid the semester fee of NOK 500,- and had the paymentregisteredin the student database by staff from the International Office beforeregistration for classes and exams. Exchange students do not pay semester fee.

  7. TherearetwoIndividualeducation plans. Plan 1 is aboutyourrights and duties as a student at the UIT and UIT’sresponsabilities and dutiestowardsyou. You have to confirmthatyou have read and understoodthisinformationin order to proceed to plan 2. Clickhere in order to proceed.

  8. To start the registration of a courseyou have to clickonAddnewcourse. Youcanonly register for courseslisted in yourLearning Agreement/Study Plan.

  9. Fill in coursecodeaccording to your Learning Agreement/Study Plan and clickonFind.

  10. Select and Addselectedcourse.

  11. Register for classes and exams and Register for classes and exams and clickSave. Withdrawal from exams/changes is also to be done here.

  15. Fill in your address in Tromsø: streetname + number, ev. roomnumber, and Postal code. Mandatory! In order to receive the semester registration receipt with waifer/sticker for student card, the contactinformationhas to beupdated. ClickonSemester addressinternationalformat ifyouneedto update yourhomeaddress. Youshouldcheck your UIT e-mail regularly.

  16. Free-moversonly: Youcandownload the paymentinformationhere for the 2nd semester. Pleaseignorethisinformationifyourpayment has beenregistered in the student database.

  17. You can order Transcript of records here. The document(s) will be signed, stamped and sent to your semester address in Tromsø.

  18. Semester fee • Freemovers: You do have to pay the semester feebeforeyoucan register for classes and exams. • Exchange students: You do not payanysemester fee to UiT.

  19. Registrationprocess: • Youcanonly register for courseslisted in yourLearning Agreement/Study Plan • Courses: You have to register for classesandexams • Youshouldalwaysupdateyourcontactinformation, alsobeforeyouleave at the end of the semester!

  20. Class & examregistration • For classregistrations: • Leave the class term unaltered • Choose a seminar/colloquium/lab groupfrom the scroll-downmenuon the right. NB! Not all the courses have thiskind of workgroups. • For examregistrations: • Leave the exam term/examunaltered • Chooselanguage of examination.

  21. Change of courses: • Exchange students: Changes to your Learning Agreement? Contactyout UiT facultycoordinator • Free-movers: Study plan should not be changed. Under specialcircumstances a change is possible. Contactyour student adviser at the International Office

  22. Deadlines: • Registration for classes and examsincluding additional courseswithin: • 1 February (spring semester) • 1 September (autumn semester) • Withdrawal from examswithin: • 1 November/15 April • or 14 daysbeforeactualexam.
