  1. Dictoglos Defination: Dictoglos:is a strategy developed by Ruth (1990) to be use with high school. But it can be adapted to be used with all ages. Dictoglos:is effective with English language learner, because it focuses on fluent academic language and supports learners in listening and recalling good English language models. Dctoglos:involves students in listening to, repeated fluent readings of English text.

  2. The steps: • 1- Selecting an appropriate piece of text. • Select a content related text. • Read aloud at normal speaking pace. • Have the students listen to you carefully. • 2- Rereading the text orally. • Read the text twice more and instruct the students to write down key words and phrases. • 3- Pairing to recreate the text. • Have the students work in pair to recreate as mach of the text as possible using the note taken by each partners.

  3. 4- Working in group of four. have them pool their recreation of text and reconstruct it more completely, have them write down as much of the text as possible. Their aim is to recreate the text as closely as possible to the original. 5- Reading the recreated text. Ask one member of each group to read the group’s recreated text. Discus their recreated text with the groups and compare it with other groups recreated text and with the original text then decide which one is more close to the original.

  4. Conclusion Dictoglos:is strategy can be adapted in many different ways. it is also an exiting way to help students to study language and it changes over the time. Thank you
