  1. Power strategy • Starting point must be conservative • 5 kg for the allocation on the power system • 3.5 kg for RTG (1400 mW) • 1.5 kg for other items ( batteries, power boards) • Propose a R&T strategy for improving the efficiency of RTG by a dedicated packing of the heat sources and better Peltier generators • Power allocation • 500 mW for sensors • 500 mW for CDMS/common acquisition • 400 mW for losses and TM/TC

  2. Sensors allocations • 500 mW in total • Proposal for allocation ( mean or continuous power) • SEIS (VBB/SP/mBar) 200 mW • METEO/MAG/ELF 150 mW • HEATFLUX 50 mW • MEASUREMENT CAMPAIGN 100 mW • Baseline will be pulsed modes for METEO/MAG/ELF and HEATFLUX at a rate compatible with the power allocation • Campaign measurements will consist on higher power operation of the instruments (either for continuous operation, higher sampling on the CA, etc). Will use batteries (TBC). Repartition to be discussed later. • 100 mW @ 0.8 efficiency of charge/discharge x 25 hours = 2 Watt-hours per sol • Improvement of the RTG efficiency will lead to longer duration of campaigns
