Shakarganj Mills Limited • We are using advance technologies like LPS, GIS and SMS in Shakarganj Mills. • LPS System is used at Check Posts to identify the Sugarcane Loaded Vehicle with GPS Position. • GIS System is used for Grower Wise Survey with Field Pictures and GPS position. • SMS System is used to check the Current Yard Balance, Crushing & Recovery etc.

  3. HOW LPS WORK • Following technologies are required for this system :- • GSM – Group Special Mobile (Telenor) • GPS – Global Positioning System • GPRS – General Packet Radio Service • (Mobile Internet) • 4. Java Supported Symbian Mobile (Nokia C5-03)

  4. HOW LPS WORK • Following Items must be checked before the start of Software :- • Time/Date must be correct • Operator Signals must be available • Mobile Internet must be enabled on SIM • Mobile must be configured for Internet

  26. Following Equipments are required for SMS System A GSM modem is a specialized type of modem which accepts a SIM card, and operates over a subscription to a mobile operator, just like a mobile phone. A Subscriber identification module (SIM) is used with GSM Modem to Send and Receive SMS.
