  2. ISO/TC 154 WG ISO/TC154 CAT – Chairman’s Advisory Team JWG 1 – EDIFACT Syntax WG 3 – CCTS WG 4– eLK UNTDED-ISO 7372 JMA

JWG1 – Joint syntax working group (with UN/ECE) • Manuscript for revised ISO 9735-10 is still at ISOCentral Secretariat to fix problems with directory data to be converted to XML format which is now used forstorage and publication. • Discussion on possible new Part 11 of the ISO 9735 series – Technical Report (TR) “User guide for migrating from EDIFACT syntax version 3 to version 4”. • The Korean delegation gave a presentation on 'Trusted Communication Platforms for Electronic • Documents‘ (request Korean to prepare the final draft for DTR ballot). 3

WG3-CCTS Core Components Technical Specification • considering the output of the systematic reviews on ISO/TS 15000-1, -2, -3 and -4; • recognizing the fact that the content of all four TS documents are outdated and thatrepeated requests to OASIS to submit their published newer versions were not successful; resolves to withdraw all 4 parts, with the option to reinstate these parts with newer versions when • these are received from OASIS. 4

  5. WG4 eLK (electronic Layout Key) • ISO/NP 6422-2 „Layout key for trade documents – • Part 2: Electronic documents‟ has been cancelled • due to 2 years inactivity. Re-activation/NWIP on this • project is foreseen when the Technical Report (TR) • on Part 3 is finalized. •  ISO/PWI TR 6422-3 „Analysis for user requirements • for layout key of trade documents‟ was further • developed where by a series of identified issues/ • requests have been identified. •  Further (minor) changes have been identified for a • later revision of ISO 6422-1 „Paper-based • documents‟ due to outstanding comments on the • FDIS stage of ISO 6422-1:2010. 5

Project Team (PT) ISO/NP 8601-2 on extended formats  The basic ISO 8601:2004 „Data elements and interchange formats - Information interchange - Representation of dates and times‟ is to be enhanced by a second part for further extended formats requested by several users.  An editing group was setup to work online.  To fulfill ISO procedures the PT proposed to create a new WG 5 for the development of Part 2 and for the future maintenance of both parts.(establish ISO/TC 154/WG 5 with the following title 'Representation of dates and times‘)  With the publication of Part 2 the existing ISO 8601 needs to be re-published as ISO 8601-1. 7

  9. ISO balloting process The ISO balloting process is rather complex, and there are different terms and abbreviations for different types of documents, at each stage of balloting. The most important of these are summarized in the table below: Document Type:1 (2-4 mo)2 (3 mo)3 (2 mo) Standard:CDDISFDIS Amendment:PDAMDAMFDAM An ordinary standard (or amendment to a standard) goes through the three ballots: CD > DIS > FDIS. Including stages that precede the balloting of the CD and the final approved International Standard, the full sequence is: NP > WD > CD > DIS > FDIS > IS.
