  1. USPS Release Webcast December 2009

  2. W2PROC • USPSV-1010 • A new prompt has been added to W2PROC asking if fringe benefits amounts should be placed in box 14 • If answered yes the fringe benefit amount from 001 deduction record will be moved to box 14 with title of FRINGE • If the employee also has a vehicle lease amount only one other user defined deduction code could be displayed

  3. W2PROC • USPSV-589 • A warning message will be generated if there is a comma found in an employees last name

  4. W2C • USPSV-1042 • The formatting of the W2C form has been changed • The W2C form files in USPS have been updated to accommodate the changes

  5. BRDDIS • USPSV-565 • Board paid retirement amounts were not always being distributed • We have isolated the issue in BRDDIS and corrected it

  6. BRDDIS • USPSV-430 • USPS_RO (read only) users can now execute BRDDIS

  7. BRDDIS • USPSV-338 • If account code was not selected as a BRDDIS sort option problems such as duplicate entries could occur • Now if the user does not select account code as a sort option it will automatically be added as the final sort option • This should eliminate this problem

  8. USPRPT/CENSUS • USPSV-1132 • Roth 403b deductions (REG type) were not being included in the “select active 403b” selection • This has been corrected and these will be considered valid 403b deductions and included in the selection

  9. USPSCN/BIOSCN • USPSV-1147 • Gender field can no longer contain a space if the employee is EMIS reportable • A valid value must be entered

  10. USPSCN/DEMSCN • USPSV-1148 • A space can no longer be entered in the sex or race fields • A valid value must be entered for each

  11. USPSCN/JOBSCN • USPSV-1149 • Position type, separation reason, and EMIS appointment type can no longer be left blank on JOBSCN if the job is EMIS reportable • Valid values for these fields must be entered

  12. USPSCN/POSSCN • USPSV-1150 • Position type, separation reason, certificate application, appointment type, qualified paraprofessional, and HQPD can no longer be left blank if the job is EMIS reportable. • Valid values need to be entered in these fields. • A valid default will be automatically provided were possible

  13. USPSCN/DEDSCN • USPSV-751 • When adding a new DEDSCN record the employee’s first name will now appear • Previous to this change only the last name appeared

  14. PAYDED • USPSV-1136 • PAYDED was creating an extra HSA ACH tape file in very limited cases based on the setting of prenote flags on the direct deposit configuration record • This has been corrected

  15. PERDET • USPSV-1120 and USPSV-1134 • Errors were not always displaying correctly • At times they did not appear to be associated with the employee that the error actually pertained to • This has been corrected

  16. PERDET • USPSV-1140 • Master teacher fields are no longer valid for EMIS reporting • The fields and any validations associated with them have been removed from PERDET

  17. PERDET • USPSV-1127 • PERDET will no longer attempt to validate the birth date based on the EMIS specified range • The typically caused more issues then it fixed

  18. USPLOAD/BIOSCN • USPSV-1068 • USPLOAD was not allowing a blank credential ID to be loaded • This has been corrected and blank credential IDs can now be loaded

  19. QRTRPT • USPSV-1048 • QRTRPT was not displaying the correct year if a demand report was being ran for a previously closed quarter • The program has been modified to prompt the user for the quarter and year when overriding the defaults and running a demand report for a previously closed quarter

  20. QRTRPT • USPSV-1064 • If the user selects to clear YTD amounts and this has already been done once QRTRPT will display a much more foreboding error in an effort to make sure they do not inadvertently clear amounts for the new calendar year

  21. QRTRPT • USPSV-1030 • When QRTRPT is executed to clear YTD amounts the vehicle lease amount field on the 001 deduction record will also be cleared
