  2. Who Is Narada? • Narada is the son of Lord Brahma. • Nārada means Naara = Wisdom + Da = Giver • A divine sage who was dedicated to serving Lord Narayana. • A guru who had disciples like, Vyasadeva, Prahlad and Dhruva.

  3. Three lives of Narada During the first, his name was Upabarhana, a Ghandarva, or singer from a heavenly Planet. During his second, he was born to poor parents. He then also became a guru. During his third, Narada was born to Brahma.

  4. Narada and the Greatest Devotee • Once, Narada wanted to find out who the greatest devotee of Lord Krishna was.

  5. He meets a Hermit in Prayag who was doing many prayers to the Lord and decides he is the best Devotee

  6. Narada meets the King in South India who serves the Lord every day and also feeds a lot of people and decides the King is the best Devotee of Lord Krishna.

  7. Narada then goes to Indra Loka and sees him praying to Lord Vamana and decides Indra is the best Devotee as he can worship the Lord as his own brother.

  8. Narada Muni saw Lord Brahma meditating and singing Lord Narayana’s names.

  9. Narada glorified his father as the greatest devotee of the Lord!
