  2. Overview The current campaign is the second campaign to be conducted in UNCW’s history. The first campaign occurred in the 1990s and raised $25 million.

  4. Quiet Phase: Spring 2005 – Fall 2010 (projected) • Campaign counting begins • Solicit lead gifts • Develop campaign materials • Prepare for public phase

  5. Public Phase: Winter 2010 – Winter 2012 (projected) • Announce campaign and campaign goal • Accelerate public appearances with alumni and friends across the state • Roll out solid public relations materials and campaign website aligned with campaign materials

  6. Campaign Working Goal is $60M – $75M Example: If…… The campaign were determined to be a $65M campaign today, we are 63% toward our goal.

  12. How do we know how much to raise? • We evaluated our prospects for capacity and areas of interest • Worked with Chancellor, Provost & Deans to reach working targets based on prospect pool.

  13. Donor Prospects University Advancement’s development staff has 1700 prospects assigned on any given day.

  18. School of Nursing Working Target $3,500,000 Raised to date $2,120,510 Has reached 61% of the target

  19. Watson School of Education Working Target $1,250,000 Raised to date $537,942 Has reached 43% of the target

  20. Department of Athletics Working Target $15,000,000 Raised to date $7,924,944 Has reached 53% of the target

  22. How much money has UNCW raised since the start of our campaign? Since July 1, 2005, we have raised a total of $41,151,345
