  2. Web Portal Objectives. • To deliver web-based training to XBRL participants. • To share XBRL implementation knowledge. • To provide a platform for sharing relevant ideas and experiences. • To offer a certification program. • To deliver the above in an easy-access, low-cost environment.

  3. XBRL Website. • Existing XBRL Website provides: • Information on XBRL news and events. • Access to documents, taxonomy and tools.

  4. XBRL Education and Training. • General and basic concepts • Taxonomies • Technical explanations. • Tutorials.

  5. Proposed e-learning Portal.

  6. Proposed e-learning Portal. • Future syllabus-based education service to be provided. • Free training courses over the Internet. • At various levels of technical expertise. • Learning modules for basic, intermediate and advanced courses.

  7. Proposed Certification Program. • Web-enabled certification exams. • Based on free training courses. • Cost of certification to be determined

  8. Proposed Research Capability • Multi-faceted search & retrieval technology will used to query the Portal content. • The Portal will facilitate the sharing of ideas in an open forum.

  9. Proposed Means of Communication. • Webcasts, seminars, presentations. • Conference calls. • Messaging. • Voice and video over the Internet.

  11. Main Participants. • XBRL Spain • Universities • Professional organisations

  12. Financing. • Sponsorships and public grant funds will be the main source for financing the e-learning Web Portal. • The successful delivery of the first application will attract additional sponsors to the project.
