My Package • My package is going to be about the Scottish rugby team because for people who watched the rugby 6 nations this year hasn’t been the best and it hasn’t been good for years now.
Angle • My angle of the topic is why is the Scottish team so bad what as a team are they doing wrong to not do well in the first place. • So in this package I aim to find out why the team is failing and what they as a team are going to do to up there game for next years 6 nations.
The research I have done • I have done lots of research just into the 6 nations of just this year and I found out that we as a team only won 1 game out of 5 and we were so close to winning against France on the 8th of march. • The team also received a red card in there game against wales on the 15th of March and ended up losing Stuart Hogg who is a talented player and they then lost against wales 3-51
Research continued • So from the research I have done I can see that the team aren’t doing so well. • We can see this not just from results but the behavior of some teams mates.
Story Arc • The idea for my story arc is the team was good then moving to • Why the team is getting such low scores in the nations for the past few years then moving to • How are the going to make the team better
Style • I’m doing my style as a smooth and calm package as my target audience is older and my package will be informative about my topic by talking about the history of the team through out the package
Interviewing • I am hoping to interview 3 people • Iain Morrison who is a sport reporter and done a article on the team when they played at this years 6 nations • Scotland players as I feel they will have a good feed back to me about the why the play • And a coach who will question about the team as a whole an how he thinks they preform and how they can be better
Radio Station • My radio station is BBC radio Scotland • This station is mostly older listeners who’s attention is more easier to hold my my package topic choice which allows things like talking and choice of music is much slower compared to BBC radio 1 or in the music case more older music more fitted to my target audience.
Target Audience • So my radio stations target audience is older men who are interested in sport so my package topic choice is strong for listeners listening in as they will be interested in it • The other listeners are mixed gender who enjoy music form there generation or some new music more suited to there taste of music and people who re from Scotland who are interested on culture and things that go on in Scotland.
Radio Station Style • This station is normally informative and allows there listeners to actually talk about topics to each other so I feel this radio station is also allows debate with people which allows people thought to come across which does’t really happen often on the radio stations which are aimed at the younger generation.
Keeping the listener interested • How I’m going to keep my listeners interested is by hopefully having good interviews and answers from my future interviewers who I feel will give me and my listeners a good all round understanding about the team and how they work and get themselves ready to play for there country which will become more important than ever soon enough with the independence vote coming up soon.
