  3. 72 processors PC Cluster -Required equipment (First procurement) • 72 x Asus Pundit P3-PH5 barebone with 2.13 GHz Core 2 duo processor and 1Gb of RAM • 3 x 3Com® SuperStack® 3 Switch 3870 (48 Gb/s ports, 156 Gb/s switching capacity) • 1 x IBM SERVER XSER236 IRWINDALE (8841EEG) • 16 x 1500 VA UPS Meeting with the project scientific officer Dr. Armand Beuf, Novi Sad, 7 February 2007

According to the restrictions imposed by the law of public procurement of RS we had to give very detailed specification of equipment (including dimension, PS …) • Beside that we have specified manny other requirements concerning bidder’s data, structure of employees, bidder’s financial potential ...,due to select suitable bidder.   5. Invitation • Public invitation was published in “Official Herald of RS” on the beginning of April. Meeting with the project scientific officer Dr. Armand Beuf, Novi Sad, 7 February 2007

Bid opening • The procedure of bid opening was held after one month. • 5 bids were received • All bids were or incorrect or unsuitable.(unfortunately or …?) • During June we started a new procedure for public procurement but with decreased requirements concerning bidders “quality” and increased requirements concerning equipment quality.   8. 72 x Asus Pundit P3-PH5x barebone with 2.66 GHz QUADRO processor and 2Gb of RAM • 3 x 3Com® SuperStack® 3 Switch 4500 G (48 Gb/s ports, 176 Gb/s switching capacity) • 1 x IBM SERVER XSER236 IRWINDALE (8841EEG) • 21 x 1500 VA UPS Meeting with the project scientific officer Dr. Armand Beuf, Novi Sad, 7 February 2007

  9. This computer is 3,5 times more powerful than expected on the start of project and 2 times more powerful than computer described in first procurement procedure. • Reason for that is extremely fall of quadro processor’s price during July and good fortune Meeting with the project scientific officer Dr. Armand Beuf, Novi Sad, 7 February 2007
