  1. DICOM WG 24 November 28th, 2007 Topic: Update on Supplements 131, 132 and 134

Supplement 132 “Surface Segmentation” • Supplement 132 was presented to WG 06 (Base Standard) in October 2007 in two sessions. • Major edits resulted from the discussions. • There was no official vote yet about entering Public Comment Phase, but it is expected soon. • Test implementation was successful.

  3. Supplement 131 “Implant Templates” • Supplement 131 describes 2D and 3D templates used for implant planning, currently focusing on rigid implants. • Basic concepts are currently being developed for • Classification of implants • Description of implant components • Description of component assembly • Registration with anatomical landmarks in patient images. • A workshop is planned for March 3rd 2008 in San Francisco to discuss requirements and approaches with vendors and users from Orthopedic surgery.

  4. Supplement 134 “Implantation Plan SR Document” • Closely connected to Supplement 131, supplement 143 describes the usage of Structures Reports for the description of implant planning results. • Supplement 134 is in a very early stage. • All kinds of input are highly appreciated – of course not only for supp. 134! • Supplement 134 will also be discussed in San Francisco in March 2008.
