  3. Customer Needs

  4. Customer Needs

  5. Engineering Specifications

  6. Updated DAQ and Electrical Schematics

  7. Compliance • DOE calls for two levels of compliance to test effect on fusing • •  Springs must be capable of transmitting 150 lbs of force with additional FOS • Selection Criteria: • Must reach 200 lbs of load. • Spring constants must be significantly different. • Deflection to max load must be large to allow fine tuning. • Free length must not exceed 1.5 in. • Deflection cannot exceed 0.75 in. • This uses existing hardware

  8. Final Design

  9. End Block Redesign

  10. End Plate Section View

  11. Methods of Measuring Skew • ME machine shop can measure skew easily using a dial indicator • CMM is available as well • Low tech option of a large caliper for quick measurement

  12. Update on Deformation • ME machine shop can grind and polish rollers to tolerance. The diameter of the roller would be altered. • The other option would be to remanufacture the fusing rollers.

  13. Mechanical BOM • Forms to purchase mechanical parts will be submitted today

  14. Electrical BOM • Electrical parts- waiting on trip to Xerox

  15. MSD II Project Plan

  16. Worst Case Plan

  17. GREEN LIGHT FOR MSD 2!!
