  1. The UnveilingRevelation 16:1-14 Many today are concerned about the direction of the world, including job security, economic stability, changing societal values, and public health. In Revelation, the Apostle John concisely unveils the future of the world, laying out the world’s direction globally, politically and spiritually. The Bible shows that the world is heading towards: 1. Statism. Statism is the concentration of economic controls and planning in a highly centralized government, often extending to government ownership of industry. In this nation, government dependency has skyrocketed, with 75% of the Federal Budget composed of entitlement programs. Universal statism will come with the arrival of the Anti-Christ, moving to a one-world government, highly regulated with the loss of individual liberty. Noncompliance with that system will result in imprisonment and death. 2. Satanism. The Anti-Christ and his religious partner the False Prophet, will impose universal, compulsory worship of Satan, the Dragon. This Unholy Trinity will lead a rebellion of men against God, not only corrupting government, but worship, and any who do not submit will be persecuted. 3. Sufferings.Because of the willful rebellion of men in that day, God’s judgment will fall, leading to global suffering from natural disasters (extreme heat, earthquakes, meteors, drought), plagues and famine. Instead of repenting and turning to God, men will blaspheme God, and persecute the few that do turn to Him. The only hope to survive the direction the world is heading is Jesus Christ.
