  5. Day of D3 Dinner Please arrive NO LATER than 6:45 PM, Wednesday, September 12th Dinner starts promptly at 7:00 PM You must be seated at your designated table You can meet with other company representatives after the dinner
  6. What to Expect Company seating assignments around Monday, September 10th Once you check-in, find your table and sit with your assigned company Try to leave backpacks at home, but there will be a bag check Keynote speakers- Associate Dean David Platt and NiloufarMolavi from PricewaterhouseCoopers
  7. D3: Its about cultivating relationships D3 is NOT a Career Fair Do not widely distribute your resume Your approach & introduction should be different than Career Expo Focus on gathering information rather than asking directly about job opportunities Atmosphere is formal, but relaxed
  8. Interacting With Recruiters Be confident Firm handshake Maintain eye contact Speak in a strong, clear voice- no mumbling Ask the recruiter about themselves Stick to appropriate table talk Relate your interests and experiences to the company’s mission/values Most importantly, be yourself.
  9. Professional Dress for Women Women should not wear clothes that are too tight or too short (i.e. “going out” clothes) Hose should be worn with pant suits and skirts
  10. Professional Dress for Men Socks should be the same color as slacks
  11. Professional Shoe Attire Women should wear closed-toe heels
  12. Dinner Etiquette Quick Tips Napkin in your lap Silverware - work from the outside to the inside Used silverware NEVER goes back on the table Take small bites, and do NOT talk with your mouth full Don’t monopolize the conversation Use common sense

Additional Tips Know the company you are seated with:BBA Career Services website has many resources: Vault, Reference USA, BizJournals; also check the company website Send the recruiter a short thank you email:This is an appropriate time to attach a resume. Maintain periodic contact with the recruiter:This will keep you fresh in their memory, particularly if future opportunities arise.
  15. Final Reminders Upload your resumes on OCR by Monday, September 10th at 11:59 PM. Check your McCombs email Resume assistance: BBA Career Services walk-in advising: Monday through Thursday, 10:30 am to 4:00 pm and Friday 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Walk-in Career Advising/Speed Interviewing on Thursday, September 6 from 9 am to 12 pmin the CBA Events Room, CBA 3.304. Last day to cancel your registration is Friday, September 7th at 5:00 PM. If you do not cancel in time and fail to show up, you will be blocked from OCR permanently.
