  5. Cable Preparation Process Step 1 :– Cut the Cable straight ( Perpendicular to the Cable ) by using Cable Cutter. Cable should never be Cut angled or Crushed Angled Crushed

  6. Cable Preparation Process Step 2 :– After Cutting the Cable, give Circular shape to dielectric using fingers Do not use Cable Stripper, Pliers or other tools for giving round shape. Never use Cable Stripper Never use Pliers

  7. Cable Preparation Process Step 3 :– Insert cable in Preparation Tool. Cable should always Flush with the stopper. Cable inserted too short, Not touching Stopper • Cable inserted too short,

  8. Cable Preparation Process Step 4 :– Press the Cable Preparation Tool gently for Cable grip.

  9. Cable Preparation Process Step 5 :– Hold Cable near Preparation Tool & rotate tool 3 times in clockwise direction and not in Anti - Clockwise direction. 3 times Clock-wise rotation No Anti Clock-wise rotation

  10. Cable Preparation Process Step 6 :– Hold Cable and Pull out Preparation Tool. • After Preparation, Length of the various Parts of Cable should be as mentioned below

Do’s & Don’t Topic Do’s Don’t • Dielectric Length • Always dielectric length should be 1 / 4 inch • Dielectric should Never be too long or too short. 1/4” Dielectric too long Dielectric too short • Length of Center Conductor • Always Center Conductor’s length should be 5 / 16 inch • Center Conductor should Never be too long or too short. Center Conductor too long • There should not be any Scratch on Center Conductor Center Conductor too short 5/16”

  12. Do’s & Don’t Topic Do’s Don’t • Aluminum Braid’s Length • Aluminum Braid’s Length should be 1 / 4 inch • Aluminum Braid’s Length should never be too long or too short. Cable Preparation Process Step 7 :– Fold back Aluminum Braided Shield 180o on the jacket. • Braid wire should not damage. • At least 95% braid should be there. • Fold all braid wires on Jacket. • No braid should be on foil / Center Conductor. Pre-cautions • Unfold the Braids • Turn the braids perpendicular to the cable length • Fold back the Aluminum braids 180 degree on the jacket

  14. Cable Preparation Process Step 8 :– Clean the Center Conductor with Soft dry Cloth. Aluminum Braid / Foil should never touch center conductor.

  15. Cable Preparation Process Step 9 :– Insert Cable into RG-6 connector (gently push the connector). • Dielectric should flush with Post of the connector • Insert cable into connector • Dielectric should never be below or above the Connector Post

  16. Connectorisation Process Step 10 :– Insert RG-6 Connector in to the Compression Tool & compress. • Connector inserted for compression • Compressing the Connector • Connector fully Compressed

  17. Connectorisation Process Step 11 :– Take out fully Compressed Connector from compression Tool. Di Electric flush with Post Aluminum Braid / Foil not touching center conductor. Straight Center Conductor Connector Fully Compressed

  19. Cable Routing Cable Routing: Purpose :Install the cable with all considerations. General Guidelines: Do not use any previously installed cable run or outlet plate. Ensure the cable jacket is not damaged due to any sharp edges. Cable should be protected with flexible conduits where necessary. Drill the cable entry hole in the wall / wooden frame / window frame using suitable drill bits. Use sealant and cover the exposed holes at each entry point from both the side. Running along with Telephone cables or TV cables is acceptable. • Prior to drilling or running cable – take all necessary precautions to: • avoid damage to customer’s property • avoid injury Use cable cleats ( P – Clips ) to secure the cable

Cable can buckle or ripple if bend radius is not maintained Guideline for bend radius : 4 times the outer diameter for single bend. RG 6 Series Cable 28mm to 31mm. RG11 Series Cable 41mm to 42mm. Not supported - can crush cable For Multi-Bends, use 10 times the diameter. Flattens cable Ensure Right Size of P-Clip is Used

  33. Cleaning Work Place In the meanwhile, till such time the activation process is in progress, clear up the mess, internally and externally, especially dust created by drilling and cable bits. Leave the installation site neat and clean both externally & internally.

  34. SAF Completion Fill up the work order & CAF in presence of the customer. Obtain customer remarks and signature along with date & time.

Do not run Cable along with Electric Lines, Cable should not be damaged during P-Clipping Dust must be cleaned by the Installer, TV,STB & Auxiliary equipments should be switched off during connection. Connect the AV Cords as per color code or symbolic code given in the back panel of the STB/TV AV Chord Yellow Color: Video Red Color : Right Audio White Color: Left Audio Fill in the CAF & W.O form legibly in front of the customer with details information with date , time and ask for Customer Signature.
