  1. Shakopee Tennis Association Summer Tennis Program http://www.shakopeetennis.org

Junior Lessons • There are 2 sessions • Classes meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the scheduled times • Thursdays are rain/make-up days • All junior lessons meet at the Shakopee Junior High (Stans) courts on 10th Ave. and Fuller St. • Session 1: June 9th – June 25th ($125) • Session 2: July 7th – July 16th ($85) • You can sign up for only session 1, only session 2 or for both sessions

Junior Lessons • Age Groups and Times (small groups in each lesson will be based on both ages and abilities) • 8:00am – 9:00am • 8-10 year olds • 9:00am – 9:45am • 4-7 year olds (Quickstart Tennis – beginners) • 10:00am – 11:00am • 11-18 year olds • 5:00pm – 5:45pm • 4-7 year olds (Quickstart Tennis – beginners) • 5:00pm – 6:00pm • 8-10 year olds • 6:00pm – 7:00pm • 11-18 year olds

Junior Team Tennis • For players who want more practice and match opportunities • Tennis playing 4 days per week • Prior match play experience not necessary • Able to attend majority of practices and matches • MUST play in at least 2 matches for their team • MUST be available for areas – MONDAY, JULY 21st and TUESDAY, JULY 22nd • MUST be available for sectionals (if they advance) – WEEK OF JULY 28 – Aug. 1

  5. 12U, 14U, 18U Junior Team Tennis • Cost - $275 • Custom Shakopee JTT Dryfit uniform top • Shakopee Summer Tennis T-Shirt • USTA annual membership fee • All regular season match fees • Area Championship/Sectional tournament fees • ½ off entry fee for Shakopee Summer Sizzler Championship Level 7 Tournament • At least 3 boys and 3 girls per team • Optional 14U & 18U evening MATCH play •  Monday and Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30pm • Starts the second week of June • Shakopee Junior High (Stans) courts • JTT Teams based on ages and abilities • Carpooling and friend requests – ASAP

  6. 12U, 14U and 18U Junior Team Tennis • After school practices start May 27th • May 27th-29th (Tuesday-Thursday) • June 2nd-5th(Monday-Thursday) • 12U and 14U intermediate – 5:00-6:15pm • 14U advanced and 18U – 6:15-7:30pm • Shakopee Junior High (Stans) courts • Regular practices and match play schedules • Monday June 9th – Thursday, July 17th • Area Championships – Mandatory Attendance • Shakopee tennis courts • Monday, July 21st and Tuesday, July 22nd (all day both days) • All 12U, 14U and 18U teams (unless told otherwise) • Sectionals • Week of July 28-Aug. 1 (dates/times will vary team to team) • Only for teams who advance through areas

  7. Junior Team Tennis • Home matches will USUALLY be played at Shakopee High School (coaches will provide match information each week) • POD Format this summer! • Definitely 1 away tournament! Tuesday, June 24th at Mankato • Play several teams in one day – longer period of playing time • Age Divisions and Schedules • 12U • Practices: 11:00am-12:30pm (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays) • Shakopee High courts • Matches: Wednesdays

Junior Team Tennis • 14U Intermediate • Practices: 11:00am – 12:30pm (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) • Shakopee Junior High Courts (Stans) • Matches: Tuesdays • 14U Advanced • Practices: 9:30-11:00am (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) • Shakopee High School Courts • Matches: Tuesdays • 18U Intermediate • Practices: 1:00-2:30pm (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays) • Shakopee Junior High Courts (Stans) *One team may be at HS from 8:00-9:30am – this information will come later! • Matches: Thursdays • 18U Advanced • Practices: 8:00-9:30am (Mondays-Thursdays) • Shakopee High School Courts • Matches: Thursdays

  9. 10U Junior Team Tennis • 3 Practices and 1 match day per week • Home matches will be at Junior High School • Only 1 or 2 matches will be away!! • Mostly in-house matches • 10U Cost - $175 (no USTA fees) • Starts June 9th and runs until July 17th • Play day at the end of the season (date TBD) • Practices: 11:00am-12:15pm (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays) • Shakopee Junior High courts (Stans) • ½ practice time; ½ playing time • Matches: Thursdays starting at 3:00pm

Summer Tournaments • Check the website for more information • Always looking for volunteers!  • Shakopee Summer Sizzler • Friday-Sunday, June 27-29! • Individual tournament • Several Age/Gender Divisions • Shakopee tennis courts • Shakopee Area Championships • Monday, July 21st – Tuesday, July 22nd • All JTT 12U, 14U and 18U teams (unless told otherwise)
