  2. September 8 – 11, 2008 ERCOT will be audited as the  Reliability Coordinator (RC)  Transmission Operator ( TOP)  Balancing Authority (BA) and  Transmission Service Provider (TSP)

  3. Logistics ● 13 auditors (4 NERC, 5 TRE) 4 FERC observers ● Two interviewing groups running concurrently: Mon – Wed noon. ● Operations floor interviews scheduled for Wed afternoon ● Additional SME’s onsite from ONCOR and TMPA (at the request of NERC)

  6. Developing the matrix • Map ERCOT to NERC • First meeting – June 30th of 2007 • Last meeting – April 11th of 2008 • ~30 meetings with market participants • 6 ROS presentations and • 1 presentation to TAC by ROS Chair

  7. RSAW Action Plan ● 94 FERC approved NERC Reliability Standards ● 57 standards in 2008 CMEP with RSAWs ● Divided by Operations, Planning, and Security ● Broken into 9 weekly packages began on May 15, 2008 final sent out July 15, 2008.

  8. RSAW Action Plan(cont) ● Assigned to SME Utilized the matrix with references 2007 Audit Responses were reviewed ● OSD reviewed evidence and resolved with SMEs ● Management review

  9. Current Status 7/31/08  92% (34 out of 37) RSAW’s have been completed by SME’s  60%(about 22 out of 37)RSAW’s have been resolved with SME’s  67%(90 out of 135)action items have been completed.  100% response on 4 questionnaires received

  10. Remaining Schedule ● Work with Market Participants scheduled to provide support ● Review FERC approved NERC Reliability Standards not on CMEP ● Review Board approved NERC Standards ● Two training sessions will be provided to SME’s
