  4. JUST A WEE REMINDER… • If no one chairs the project… WE AREN’T DOING THE PROJECT! Pledges, you can chair, too  All you have to do is send out an email getting people to drive and telling everyone where to meet and make sure you email me back telling me how the project went! Easy as !

  5. McCrea Bingo! • Weds, Oct 6 • 7 – 8 pm at McCrea Manor in Alliance • Play BINGO with senior citizens! • Chair – Kaitlyn Joyce!

  6. Villa Maria Project • Villa Maria is an assisted living and dementia care facility in Alliance that focuses on art therapy. • Thursday, October 7 • 3:00 pm- 3 people to help prep dinner • 4:30 pm- EVERYONE (20 brothers) meet to eat dinner with residents. • 10 people will help work on a “Western Wall” putting up Western art!- If you have anything to put on the wall, bring it! Cowboy hats, bandanas, whatever! And bring country music to play! • 10 people will go demo walls at the office to make it into an art gallery. • Chair – KourtneyBetler!

  7. Feed My Sheep • Thursday, October 7 • 1:30 to 4 pm- PROJECT FULL, Chair – Emily Mariani • 4:00 to 6:30 pm- 1 spot open, Chair – Cori LaMarco • Help prep/serve/clean up at soup kitchen in Alliance.

  8. ANC Volleyball! • Thursday, October 7 • 3:30 – 5:30 pm • PROJECT FULL • Teach kids a new volleyball skill! • See (CHAIR) Amy Ricciardi with questions or to tell her how much you love her!

  9. FLOCK Food Delivery • Friday, October 8 • 6:00 pm • PROJECT FULL • Play ding dong ditch with people in Alliance community who are struggling to provide them with food! • Chair – Holly Cappelli

  10. Super Service Saturday! • Saturday, October 9 • 11 – 5 pm (transportation provided: will leave at 10:45 am, be back at 5:45 pm!) • At the Norma Johnson Conservation Center in Dover, OH • Help make crafts with children, face painting, and serving food! • Will be SNACKS and LUNCH!!!  • Chair – Sarah Snyder

  11. Humane Society • Sunday, October 10 • 12 – 2 pm • 1 spot open, Chair – Kaitlyn Joyce • Play with puppies & kitties at Stark Co. Humane Society!

  12. Boo at the zoo! • Dress up in costumes and help pass out candy! • No paper sign up sheet – must email me if you’re interested. Akron Zoo has an online google document for you to fill in your name during the appropriate time. • Boo at the Zoo Dates are • Fri, Oct 15 at 4:30 pm • Sat, Oct 16 at 2:00 pm • Sun, Oct 17 at 2:00 pm • Fri, Oct 22 at 4:30 pm • Sat, Oct 23 at 2:00 pm • Sun, Oct 24 at 2:00 pm • Fri, Oct 29 at 4:30 pm • Sat, Oct 30 at 2:00 pm • MUST attend an orientation date – 20 minutes (but will count as hours) • Sat, Oct 9 at 2:00 pm • Tues, Oct 12 at 4:00 pm • Weds, Oct 13 at 4:00 pm

  13. Seriously… we’re trying again. • NATURE CENTER FENCE PAINTING!!! • NEXT MONDAY, OCTOBER 11 • 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm • Chair – Rebecca Hartz • Help paint a fence at the Nature Center! • If it rains, Dick Goddard is getting hate mail.

  14. Echoing Ridge Game Night! • Monday, October 11 • 6 – 7:30 pm • At Echoing Ridge in Canal Fulton • Play games with residents at Echoing Ridge who have developmental disabilities!

  15. Habitat For Humanity • Saturday, October 30 • 2 spots open 8:00 – 11:30 am • (FULL)11:30 – 3:00 pm – Chair – J Hyde • Transportation is provided! • Once you’re signed up, you’re COMMITTED!

  16. Trick O’ TREAT fO’ CANNED GOODS • Saturday, Oct 30 sometime at night • We will have an APO team and CHAIRS are Cate Rogers and Mary Snode. • Next week, we will go sign up our team and get a route. • We will go on that route and pass out cards to houses letting them know we’re coming! • Then, on the 30th, we’ll go trick or treating, asking for canned goods to give back to less fortunate families in Alliance!

  17. Care Packages! • Just a little refresher – APO is the one behind the scenes of the care packages on campus! We send out the forms, get them ordered, and distribute them as a fundraiser. • Will be in the 18th or 19th of October. • We will need brothers/pledges to sign up to distribute them the week of the 18th – 22nd from 11 am to 6:30 pm. (2 people every half hour) • Abby Jensen is in charge of this!

  18. SEA RECYCLING PROJECT • Students for Environmental Awareness WANTS TO COLLABORATE WITH APO! • Hold raffle at football games for people who recycle their pop bottles. • Need help sitting at the tables for the rest of the home football games! • Also want to go out into the stands and collect pop bottles, hand out raffle tickets, but need more people! • Need a brother or pledge who wants to talk to SEA and organize this! You would just have to report back to me with how many volunteers we’d need on which dates and at what times 

  19. MEALS ON WHEELS • 10:45 to 12:45 pm • Any day of the week! • Sign up in groups of 4 on any day (can be multiple groups on one day) indicating ONE driver – we will start doing this project NEXT week and it will be weekly so you will have to notify me a week in advance if you cant go or else you will be docked an hour. • You must provide your own transportation and you are responsible for showing up – I wont be sending you reminder emails. • You pick up a cooler of food, get your food route, and drop off the food to immobile Alliance community members! • Usually you will be the only one these people will see the entire day so you will bring a lot of JOY to their day! 

  20. FALL FEST?! • Family Fall Fest- Sat, Oct 16 (4-8 pm at Petros Lake Park)- 2 craft assistants (3:30 to 7:30 pm) to help pumpkin painting, bird seed feeders, soap carving.- 13 game assistants (3:30 to 7) sack races, bean bag toss, mural stations, stick horse rodeo, pumpkin bowling.- 12 trail guides and candy station assistants (4-8 pm) to lead small groups along Creatures of the Night Hike • Chair – John “Can’t Touch Dis” Wagner

  21. FEELING ARTISTIC? • Submit artwork to the Art for Alzheimer’s silent auction that is taking place November 12. • Artwork is due by the 15th of October. • Also, they are looking for entertainment for the evening of the auction. • Talk to Caitlyn Ryan if interested. • ½ hour of service for donating your time or art! (Half hour max for all donations).
