Desktop, rack mount or on top of rack? • Central server/hub for rack PCs • Link to EMU TTC partition control and Main Run Control • Server/hub for peripheral crate Dynatem Slow Control • PCI-VME server functions for DDU crate control • Requires location in counting house near DDU rack • DDU crate 10—base T lines replaced by PCI bus • Crate-Power control/monitoring • CAN bus to PCI conversion • Centralized location for soft-wire link to Fast Monitoring system • Use as primary EMU DCS server? • Requires links to CSC-HV and Central DCS
