  3. Labs - continuing picture ID to first lab and first lab test Do we NEED this? First lab – also must sign roster on my office door Still Office 07 products – tell students to come to lab at least to “train the software” Enforce food/drink policies!

  4. Changes • New version of textbook, not the same as last Spring • not bound, made for binder • lecture book and lab book in one • Fewer pages, cheaper • can use the older versions ok

  5. Changes • Students doing Powerpoint lab will have to submit files • TAs turn in checksheets after grading tests • Regularly in semester, TA check that every student in lab can show them grade page

  6. Change to grade sheets • new column for Midterm Grade

  7. Regular TA meeting • Mondays 3:30-4:30 RGAN 102

  8. Peer Observations • Since no new TAs, not really needed • BUT if you want to do it, be welcome to!

  9. First Day Lecture Need ALL TAs to be there with nametags Classroom Building 106, Wednesday 1 and 2 pm Give out two 3x5 cards to each student One for attendance / goals One for them to write class URL on and keep Turn in cards on section numbers as they exit class

  10. Common Hour Exams Lecture Test 1, Sept. 30, Wednesday 7:30pm – 9:30 pm Memorial Hall! Lecture Test 2, Nov. 4, Wednesday, 7:30-9:30 pm Memorial Hall Lecture Test 3, Dec. 16, Wednesday, 6-8 pm Classroom Building 106/118/114/102 Need everyone there!

  11. Academic Alerts • Talk to students with problems! • Keep records of your communications • I will mail you about any alerts I send, as well as the student

  12. Office Hours • meet yours! keep records of who came • Some of mine on TR will be in RGAN commons area • makeup for lab tests will be 2pm on Tuesdays in RGAN 103, as usual
