General Project Requirements • The main goal in all of the projects is to develop a system which will constitute a main infrastructure for the given requirements. • You should better consider all aspects of the projects to be generic. As an example for data inputs, you should provide editorial capabilities. • However it is still your responsibility to provide some real-world data adequate for each project for your demonstrations. • Don’t forget “It is better to have a completed project with less capabilities than a project which has many capabilities which are not yet completed.” SE 560 Software Development Studio Fall 2007

Topic #1HomebOOk This project topic aims at developing a web-basedapplication which • Organizes wedding receptions including all needs from wedding cake to honeymoon • Offers a facility for relations and friends to explore and purchase necessary gifts for bride and groom • Offers a facility to share and manage home arrangement such as household furniture depicting user’s view of life style; colors, patterns and etc. SE 560 Software Development Studio Fall 2007

  4. Topic #2LOOkHealthy This project aims at developing a web-based application which • Supports user’s to be nourished moderate and healthy. Therefore, dietician keeps in contact with users and prepares daily food schedule regarding user’s health status and the calori, nourishment values of foods • Depicts rich information about foods; categories, calori, nourishment values, vitamins • Dynamically adapts and changes schedule when user alters the food eaten regarding specified calori values for each day SE 560 Software Development Studio Fall 2007

Topic #3TouR Planner This project topic aims at developing a web-based application which • Assists its users for organizing a tour arrangement according to various constraints such as time and costs (assistance by offering options) • Mainly concerns about arrangements on transportation, lodging and touristic visits • Able to depict selected region’s detailed information which can be useful for a visitor(sample information: opening/closing hours, pictures, regulations, etc.) SE 560 Software Development Studio Fall 2007

Topic #4AcademiC Portal This project aims at developing a web-based application which • Gathers academic events such as conferences and workshops according to a selected research area (examples from CS:Computer Graphics,Natural Language Processing,etc.) • Presents each academic event with its critical information such as deadlines, main research topics, etc. which will be later used for searching • Generic research area and topic definitions according to a hierarchy, which provides the ability to narrow down or broaden any search • Prepares anacademic schedule/calendar within a period (year, month, etc.) by query of related academic event information SE 560 Software Development Studio Fall 2007
