  9. MC Console Activity Reports • Step 1: Click on “New” to create a new report or click on a previously saved report. If you select a Saved report, the screen presents parameters you saved previously. This allows you to run a report with updated data, based upon the new date range you enter in the Date Selection area. • Step 2: In the Date Selection area, enter in a valid date range or select ‘Log File’ from the dropdown to include all available history. • Step 3:The Query Selection area is where you tell the system what information you want to find. Be as general or specific as you like. • Select the Transaction Type (see next page for the Transaction Types that apply to Bill Pay), then enter a Field to Search (and Value if applicable). • Field to Search: This defaults to “All data” when you choose the transaction type. “All data” provides you all the data associated with the transaction. If you have more specific information regarding this transaction type, then choose the most appropriate field to search. • Value: If you choose something other than “All data” in Field to Search then you must fill in a value. Tip: Numbers are easier to match in the database than letters. For instance, if you choose “Customer Name” as the Field to Search and enter “Anna Richards” as the Value, you may get no rows returned because she is in the database as “Anna E. Richards” or you may get five “Anna Richards” returned. • Step 4: If you want to save this report’s parameters for future use, give the report a title and choose ‘Save’ from the dropdown. Next, determine how you want to view the results: choose ‘Screen Display’ if you want to view it on the screen or choose ‘Download Data File’ and select the delimiter from the dropdown to save it to your hard drive.
