Why is teen pregnancy so high? • Three quarters of a million teens between 15 and 19 become pregnant each year. • Very few teens who become mothers aren't planned. • Out of all teen pregnancies, 57% end in birth. • 14% end in miscarriage 29% in abortion. • Teens who become pregnant are less likely to attend college.

  3. How should parents deal with teen pregnancy? • As a parent, you have to remember this isn't about you. This is about your child having a baby. • Do not over react when your child breaks the news to you, though it’s a natural reaction as a parent. • Give your child options. • Stay supportive through everything!

When did teen pregnancies become a problem? • Since about 1965 people who have gotten pregnant to their unmarried significant other. • Some feel it has became a problem ever since the marriageable age was raised to 18. • Teen pregnancies increased in 2006. • Both teen pregnancies and abortions are on the rise. • The teen pregnancy rate declined 41% in 1990.

Who's to blame for these teen pregnancies? • Both people involved in the act are to blame. • Parents for not educating their children about protection and how they should live their life before they bring another life into this world. • Some sources say Tv, advertising, music, music videos & books promote sex to teens. • Peer pressure.
