Social Networking: Positive • There are many social networking sites such as: Facebook and Twitter, these websites are used to communicate with family and friends with various locations around the world such as Spain, Germany and Scotland. • You can use social networking sites to discuss projects with colleagues for example Samsung can discuss with various colleagues about building new phones and tablets.

  4. Social Networking: Negative • Social networking can be used to increase cyber bullying towards vulnerable people. • Opportunists can encourage lots of people to do various things for example, they encourage people around London to begin various riots to cause unnecessary damage towards their own community. • People can abuse social networking sites for example, lately various people have been abusing social networking sites such as Facebook for paedophilia.

  5. ICT (Public) • ICT can be used in various locations such as: buses, trains and on the move in a car. • You can also purchase a Bluetooth kit which enables your phone to connect to other phones to send pieces of information without any cables. • Programs like Skype can be used to see and communicate with family and friends all over the world. Programs like Skype can also be used for work for people like: Doctors and Businesses.

  6. Personal Security: Positive/Negative • You can purchase various security packages such as: Norton; Avast and McAfee to protect your computer from viruses, hackers and Trojans. • You can download/install these packages easily over the internet so you won’t have any hassle finding and installing the security packages. • Hackers may break through your security package and they may take personal items such as: credit card details; address; phone number and passport details.

  7. Generation Barriers: Positive • The older generation can learn from the younger generation regarding to learning various ICT aspects. • This will help the older generation with aspects like: bank accounts, emails and programs like Skype.

  8. Generation Barriers: Negative • The older generation will struggle with learning how to use: email, bank account, pensions, mortgages. • This will be very hard as ICT is evolving everyday by making more up to date phones: computers and TVs. • If people from the older generation have mental problems like dyslexia they will struggle to search subjects on the internet.

  9. School (Positive) • You now are able to research information on computers in school. • Teachers can use ICT to teach to students via interactive board and presentations.

  10. School (Negative) • ICT in school can provoke cyber bullying towards students and possibly teachers. • Students can get hold of proxy servers and gain access to sites to watch videos and play games. • ICT can lowered students self-esteem and confidence due to cyber bullying.

  11. Health: Positive • Doctors are now able to diagnose you via webcam so it save money from travel. • Doctors can also search the internet to go into depth with your illness, condition or concern. • Doctors can search the internet for medicines.

  12. Health: Negative • You may get the wrong diagnosis and search up the wrong information. • You could damage your eyes by looking at the screen to closely or for too long. • You may need laser treatment, glasses or contact lenses

Exercise (Positive) • You are now able to search and create a training program to suit your benefits towards certain sports. • You can be inspired to do sport through adverts, games and live coverage of football, tennis and rugby on live coverage over the internet for example, Cristiano Ronaldo and Rafeal Nadal. • You can now purchase a wide range of sports equipment over the web for example, Nike and Adidas sponsor various sports teams and they sell sports equipment and merchandise.

Exercise (Negative) • You can develop a better interest in ICT rather than sport which you may end up not doing any exercise which leads to the following: • Unhealthy lifestyle • Lack of exercise • The likelihood of being/ becoming overweight • You may not get enough exercise and you will develop difficulties with your health.

  15. Conclusion • Overall ICT is a definite positive impact on the society because you can: • Communicate with family and friends via Face book, Twitter and Skype. • You have mobile phone hotspots where you can access the internet easily. • Finally, ICT benefits education a lot providing students with advanced technology to produce high quality amounts of work.
