  4. Form of System Capacity Charge

  5. Interesting points to note • SP < 73,200kWh • No interesting points of note!! • All MPRNs keep the same capacity rate aggregated or disaggregated • SP > 73,200kWh and < 293,000kWh • Average increase 18% • Largely due to capacity rate moving “up the step” • Where Supply Points are EUC WAR banded – Meter Point SOQ has been calculated using the same EUC WAR but corresponding with the lower AQ • SP > 293,000kWh and <732,000kWh • Average low (1%) but wide range between -24% and +34% • Largely due to move from a “WAR band” SOQ to EUC bands 1 & 2 • Positives result from moving from High LF EUC bands to lower, default EUC bands - e.g. 42.0% to 31.3% • Negatives result from a counter-positional move • SP > 732,000kWh • Average, across the entire bands – 25% increase • All percentages based on a random sample

  8. Proposed Phased Approach • Immediately – no new configurations • Phase 1: Within 3 months of implementation • All aggregations with AQs up to 73,200kWh to be disaggregated • Accounts for 11.5k supply points or 13% • Phase 2: From 1st April 2014 to 1st July 2014 • All aggregations with AQs above 73,200kWh & up to 732,000kWh to be disaggregated • Accounts for 46k supply points or 53% • Phase 3: From 1st April 2015 to 1st July 2015 • All aggregations with AQs above 732,000kWh to be disaggregated • Accounts for remaining 29k supply points or 36%
