  1. MEET AT KURMOND SATURDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2011 MEETING PLACE 10.00 A.M. AT KURMOND We’ll meet on a gravelled area on the South side of Bells Line of Road between Kurmond & Kurrajong just before the turnoff to Comleroy Road. If you arrive at the Mill Rd traffic lights you have gone too far. As we will have a number of vans with us we will easily occupy most of this area. We will need to leave room for access to the house. If there is no more room use the area on the other side of the road opposite. MEETING PLACE TRAVELLING TO KURMOND If you are travelling from Sydney take the M2 which becomes the M7 and take the Richmond Rd turnoff . FollowRichmond Road all the way to Richmond.Drive straight through the town past the high school on the left to a T-intersection where you will turn RIGHT. Turn LEFT at the first set of lights & then follow the signs to Kurrajong and Lithgow. Travel past the polo grounds on the right, over the bridge at North Richmond and then up the hill to Kurmond. Fill up at the BP if you need fuel – it’s usually very competitive – and then drive past the shops, Post Office, and a bit further up the road past the Total Garage . The meeting place is just up the road on the left. N MEETING PLACE

  2. OBERON DIRECTIONS SATURDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2011 KURMOND TO OBERON If we try to travel in convoy to Oberon on Bells Line of Road we will give every other road user a problem, so we will need to leave some reasonable separation between us. Follow the directions on the right to Bell, Mount Victoria and then Oberon. Beware a brown Ford Territory speed camera car is frequently seen in the Hampton area. On Bells Line of Road the limit has been reduced to 80kph most of the way to Bell. Mr Plod has taken to driving unmarked cars, such as a frog green Commodore, and hiding up lanes and behind trees. When you get to Oberon park in Tarana Road and we’ll all meet there and convoy to Werona Vale. UHF18 If you have a CB radio please tune in to Channel 18. 4. SETTING UP CAMP SATURDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2011 CAMPING SPOTS We’ve mown quite a large area around the Club House and in the adjacent paddock, so there’s quite a lot of room for everyone. You’ll still need to take some care to level your van and will need either wheel chocks or some timber for this purpose. LUNCH We’d originally planned to have lunch at the Big Trout; the chef became gravely ill and his replacement doesn't start until the 15th, so we need to make our own arrangements for lunch. You could eat in your van, but Julie & I are planning to unhitch the van and then go back into town for a late lunch. This also means that we can pick up ice and anything else that we need for that evening. There’s a reasonable choice of places: Oberon RSL at the corner of Oberon & Dudley Sts 02 6336 1607 was recommended to us by the owners of the Big Trout. There’s an excellent bakery in the main street. This is Google’s restaurant listing: THE AFTERNOON IS FREE You could go for a walk around Werona Vale. There are deer in the woods and a clearing quite close in the pine forest. There's also: Winery: http://caseysvineyard.com.au/ Gardens: http://www.oberonaustralia.com.au/events.asp?eID=300 Pottery: http://www.oberonaustralia.com.au/directory_display.asp?ID=2057 Craft shop: http://www.oberonaustralia.com.au/directory_display.asp?ID=2056
