Each item below will give you 7 points, up to a total of 105 points! • I have 9 slides (one original and 8 copies) • All slides have the same two cartoon characters • All slides have a dialog balloon for each character. • Slide on tells the name of the disease • Slide two describes the disease. • Slide three tells female symptoms. • Slide 4 tells male symptoms. • Slide 5 tells how long it takes for symptoms to appear. • Slide 6 discusses treatment of the disease. • Slide 7 tells if the disease can ever be cured. • Slide 8 tells the seriousness of STDs. • Slide 9 tells how to prevent STDs. • Slide 10 contains your name and a proper MLA citation for your source. • Grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization is totally correct. • Your slides are submitted electronicall through SMART Sync. Adding Cartoon Characters to a Slide • Google “famous cartoon characters.” • Find a character you like. • Hold down control-alt-delete all at the same time to copy the entire page. • Click the start button at the bottom of the screen. • Click ALL PROGRAMS. • Open IRFANVIEW. • Press control-V keys both at the same time. • Crop your character to eliminate unwanted items using the mouse (dotted line). • Press control-Y both at the same time. • Press control_C both at the same time • Go to the PowerPoint slide where you which to place the character. • Press control-V keys both at the same time. Sending your work to Ms. Krouse • Click the orange SMART Sync icon on the desktop of your computer. • Click the Connect button. • In the space provided for student ID, type your first and last name. • In the space provided for teacher ID, go into the drop down menu and select Mr. Zuke. • Make sure you have saved your work on the desktop before doing the next step. • Click the SUBMIT FILE button, which is under the CONNECT button. • Click on the Desktop icon. • Click on your file when you see it. • Click SUBMIT.
