What is AMAZON.COM? • Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) is a large, multinational electronic commerce company. • That means an online shopping website • America’s largest online retailer • Founded in 1994 as an on-line bookstore. • Quickly branched out into different products, even creating its own e-reader device (the kindle) • Headquarters in Seattle, Wa

  3. The logo of Amazon has an arrow pointing from “a” to “z” This represents the goal of amazon to sell every product of the alaphabet. They really do sell basicly everything Music CDs, videotapes, DVDs, software, consumer electronics, kitchen items, tools, lawn and garden items, toys & games, baby products, apparel, sporting goods, gourmet food, jewelry, watches, health and personal-care items, beauty products, musical instruments, clothing, industrial & scientific supplies, groceries, and more. What does Amazon.com have to offer, product wise

  4. Financial information • Steady profit fro 2003 onward • Net income of 2003 • $35.3 million • Net income of 2004 • $588.3 million • Net income of 2008 • $855.4 million

Recent Information • Amazon leads the way in e-reader technolgy with the Kindle 2.0 • E-readers are devices that store and display books in digital format • Amazon is able to keep costs of products low due to lack of brick and mortar storefront • Costs are very important in these troubled times • I would gladly invest in this company’s stock

  8. C.D. rates • According to http://www.sovereignbank.com/ , the rate of C.D.s one year ago from today was 2. 07% AYP • That means that for every $1000 I let sit for one year, I get $20.70 • Before taxes • Not the biggest increase, but worth it in the long run when the economy turns around.

What is going on RIGHT NOW • Right now the economy is turning around. • Slowly but surely • Yes my investment might not grow very much THIS year, but the coming years look bright for our economy. • Due to this, C.D. rates will be increasing and as long as I keep turning over my C.D. I am guaranteed to make money • As long as I keep the bank amount under the upper limit of FDIC insurance.
