OMi Content Pack Overview • The OMi content pack is the basis for analytic content on event data from OMi and KPI/HI metrics from Service Health applications of BSM • Along with its dependent CPs like Service Health package, the OMi CP includes the ability to: • Collect and report on history of Event metrics from OMi • Reports on event assignments by Users/Groups • Provide reporting on history of KPI statuses and Health Indicators maintained by Service Health application

Key Use Cases • Some of the key Use Cases addressed in this version: • Capability to view aggregated key event metrics like • #Cause Events, • % of Correlated Events, • MTTR, etc. • Analyze application-wise category of events left unprocessed for too long • Events assigned (load) on specific users/groups • History of HI/KPI status duration over time

Motivation • Operations Center Managers would like to use reporting solutions that would enable them to proactively drive quality improvement. • Reports in OMi and Service Health Content have been designed to answer queries like: • What type and quantity of events am I seeing in my infrastructure? (Where do I need to focus)? • How long does it take to acknowledge and resolve events? • What category of events are left unprocessed for too long? Taking too long to resolve? • What is the load on operators and groups handling the events? • Could I have a summary of operator activities? • How can I track performance variables over time?

Top-level reports • High-level reports on Event metrics of OMi CP can be accessed from: • Public Folders Infrastructure Management Service and Operations Bridge (OMi) • In addition to the Detail Events folder you will see these 5 event reports: • OMi Event Backlog Overload Correlation by User Groups • OMi Event Distribution Executive Summary • OMi Event Summary • TOP N CIs by Events • Top N Domains by Events
