K-12Physical Education Motor/Movement Skill Development, Personal Fitness/Wellness, Personal living skills. • A wide variety of activities • Introduce basic/fundamental skills that will serve a lifetime of activity • Every class contains sustained exercise, large muscle activity, flexibility and strength • Common threads inside every lesson include: teamwork, respect, communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, perseverance, accountability • Modified, Adapted,and Differentiated Instruction to meet each student’s needs • Scope and Sequence through the grade levels- entry level, competency level,commencement level • Safe supervision of students

Miler’s Club Everyday at lunch recess, every student exercises. Some run or walk extra laps and receive recognition. The school will log over 8000 miles this year.
Yoga Program • First year • Instructor in residence • Two weeks • K-5 • Instructional guide taken home
Swimming Program • Introduces the student to a facility such as the YMCA RECenter • Evaluation in first class • Instruction at each child’s level • Swimming as exercise • Water Safety in and around an aquatic environment
Ice Skating Program • A Field Trip to Buckskill Ice Rink by the Kindergarten and Fifth Grade “buddies”
Field Day A day to celebrate all the skills learned throughout the year.
Beach Day The whole school and teaching staff goes to the beach. There is a water safety lesson at morning program
The program is successful because we have support from our administrators and the cooperation of the staff and parents.
