  6. Humor-Wit • Customers are attracted to product by using humor. Draws the reader away from the product with humor.

  7. Card Stacking • The propaganda technique that means stacking the cards in favor of the product. The advertisers stress is positive qualities and ignore negative.

  8. Glittering Generalities • The glittering generalities technique uses appealing words and images to sell the product. The message this commercial it will change your life.

  9. Statistics-Facts andFigures • Statistics and objective factual information is used to prove the strength of the product.

  10. Plain Folk • The suggestion that the product is a practical product for ordinary people.

  11. Diversion • Diversion seems to tackle a problem or issue, but then throws in an emotional distraction.
