Advantages of the new FU system • More structured curriculum, introduction of modules • Modules, consisting of two different courses (for example, a lecture and a seminar on the same topic) • Exact module structure and credits for each subject can be found in the study and examination regulations • One semester is worth 30 credits (ECTS) • 1 FU credit equals 30 hours workload • Accumulative Grade Point Average Freie Universität Berlin Dr. Wedigo de Vivanco

Realization of Bologna In the Future • Our exchange students will have to use our online platform Distributed Campus to register courses • You will see graded transcripts with ECTS points • We will also document the contact hours taken to facilitate the transfer of credits/workload • We hope to continue seeing happy and engaged international students despite the hiccups caused by the Bologna “revolution” Freie Universität Berlin Dr. Wedigo de Vivanco
