Satellite Industry Leadership Council • Public Policy • 10 of 11 tax increase proposals defeated • 3 proposals to restrict dish installation on rental properties defeated • 2 local ordinances to impose inspection/registration fee on dish installation defeated or challenged and repealed • New licensing database under construction • State PAC established (“SkyPAC”)

Satellite Industry Leadership Council • Next steps • As of 1/2010 all technicians who hold valid SBCA certification will receive 1 year complimentary membership in SBCA • Major corporate membership campaign—at least 30 new corporate members at $3,000 per year • Regularly scheduled webinars of which at least 6 will be sponsored • Market all membership, certification and marketing products under “SkyFORUM™” brand • Pilot one regional SBCA meeting in Mid-Atlantic

Satellite Industry Leadership Council • Next Steps • Ask members/industry what they want for online education, training • Partner with allied industries (CE, IP, construction) to provide content for courses • Provide online resource of contacts, important industry sources • Provide online directory of suppliers of goods and services for the industry • Basic listing for free • Descriptions, logos, contact information for a fee

Satellite Industry Leadership Council • Next Steps • Develop expanded daily/weekly SBCA-branded electronic newsletter for industry • Expert Blogs • Sponsored editions • Solicit vendors to produce SBCA newsletter • SBCA SkyFORUM VTS on annual basis • Develop exhibitor/sponsorship prospect list • Secure 2010 Commitments Q1 2010 • Double revenue and attendance for 2010 • Prepare RFP for VTS vendors • Capture history of SkyFORUM for future sales efforts (under way) • Commission annual industry survey • Consider “Executive Futures Summit” and Board meeting June 2010 in Denver (by invitation only)
