Placement Learning Outcomes • Linked more overtly with KSF outcomes and HPC Standards of Proficiency • Same outcome headings for each placement but level of achievement required increases through levels • Learning outcomes for safety and professionalism exactly the same for all placements • Grouped into 4 sections each of which must be passed rather than stand alone to support appropriate pass/fail outcomes

  9. Assessment Documentation(CPA form) • Improved user friendly format including more space for midway feedback • Learning outcomes and sections on assessment document are the same • Overall formative band rather than mark given for feedback alongside written feedback • Potential for failure declaration • Service users and carers feedback optional on assessment document

  10. Professional Practice Oral Assessment(PPOA) • Week 4 instead of week 5 (5th placement) • Unseen to student (pref. NP but may be known to team) • Patient of similar type to those seen on placement • Patient details given to student 1 hour prior to PPOA • Focus on assessment plus some treatment as appropriate • Extra time for those on access database
